Project Description

We were employed by Marie Curie Hospice to undertake the boiler replacement works at their premises in Bradford, due to the age and condition of the existing boiler plant was in a poor state, meaning the system was potentially vulnerable to failure.

The existing plant comprised of 4 No floor standing atmospheric type gas fired boilers complete with a conventional common flue dilution system and common flow and return heating pipework serving multiple individual pumped circuits.

Due to the nature of the building downtime of services had to be kept to a minimum and therefore as part of the scheme we implemented a temporary boiler plant to ensure that services were adequality maintained throughout the contract period.

The existing plant was replaced with 4 No wall mounted Ideal Evomax condensing boilers complete with a new conventional flue system, flow and return pipework connecting onto the existing heating circuits, new boiler shunt pumps, new low loss header and a new common shunt pump, including the adaptation and modification to the existing BMS system to facilitate the new plant and equipment.

In addition to the above we undertook all associated builders work which included formation of new holes, removal of concrete bases, making good and all associated electrical installation to provide a fully installed operational system.
